Just listened to The Fragile for the first time in over 10yrs. I remember playing it endlessly while I was stuck in a job I didn’t like much - a nervous breakdown was just around the corner, I never saw it coming - It seemed ridiculously heavy at the time, lyric wise and production, it was a feat of endurance to listen to both discs.

This time though. It sounded like a completely different album, I heard things I hadn’t before, the instrumentation is more ornate than I remember, subtle in places.

Funny how circumstance can alter the way you perceive certain things. I’m happier now than I was back then. The Fragile is going back on heavy rotation.
