Hello!
I started running in August, I've been physically active in one way or another for about a decade, so even though I am a beginner at running I felt more ready to pick up running than if I started from scratch.
I'm currently on Week 9 of Half Marathon Training Plan, since I've run 13k distance before so far the training has not been too hard on me, and I have been enjoying it immensely.
Here's my question. When I started the training plan I was not planning on running an actual race, I just wanted to run the distance of a half marathon. Recently I changed my mind and I have two race options. First one would mean I have to shorten my training plan by one week. The second option means I would have a month and a half between ending my training plan and the actual race day. I feel like I would probably be able to complete the run either way, but I would like it to also be a somewhat enjoyable expirience and to avoid injuries. I'm leaning towards the second option. My biggest problem really is what would I be doing in that month and a half to maintain my training.
Which one should I choose!?
