Was at the dentist recently and it dawned on me the amount of resources being spent at that moment on a damn 10x10 mm object meant to help a single homo sapiens chew his food. Meanwhile in the hour my cube of enamel is being attended to by two skilled workers, and x rayed, drilled, cleansed, polished, and capped, countless people around our globe are dying in war, famine, motor vehicle accidents, and disease.
