Hey all, I'm sorry if this question has been asked before but it's really racking my mind. I tried to keep the title extremely vague to avoid any spoilers in relation to people who are still playing the game.
During the final ending credits, you're given the option to accept help from other players who sacrificed their save data to see the final scene of the game. I think it's a safe assumption to say a large majority of players would have to accept this request, although yes, there will be a small subsection of bullet hell professionals and it's important to take them into consideration.
The one thing that's boggling my mind though is the surplus of data files that seem to be present. So I was wondering:
Are peoples actual data being deleted (ie. their name & message) from potential candidates who can offer help in the final credits? The phase '[name]'s data has been lost.' suggests that the game does remove their name/message from the servers and wouldn't . Even with the assistance of other players (and I'd imagine I'm at least a bit better than the average gamer), it still cost me four people's data to get through the entire credit sequence. After watching a streamer who took 18 lives after accepting help to get through the credit sequence, I just can't imagine how there is a surplus of save datas to help each player.
It's clear the ending sequence was designed so that a large majority of the gaming audience would have to accept assistance from someone else in the world and thus place them in a position to help others in the same manner that they got help from, but as I mentioned earlier I can't possibly understand how there is a surplus of data files for people, that is, if their data is actually being deleted.
Sorry if this is the wrong place.
