I've been lucky to be well treated and never been unlucky where I've worked....stupidly I never joined an union...but nowadays I cannot afford to not have some support for me or family in case things go south.... My view of joining a union is about a safety net (and I hope to keep it that way).
But the questions I cannot find a clear question (yet) are: which Union to join? is there any difference (other than the cost)?
so far either ppl are on UNISON or RCN but it doesn't feel like they chose either for a specific reason.
important background info: Nurse in England> 10 years and mostly on NHS
