Philly has the offense to take control in either running or passing with Hurts. Houston can't stop any kind of rushing attack and their cover-2 zone with Lovie Smith is predictable for the passing game. Mills will be swarmed by another tough defense at home. |
Chargers |
over |
Falcons |
The Chargers will be well rested from their bye for this road trip. Herbert and Ekeler can carry the offense for another week. The Falcons with Mariota will stay in the game with plenty of run-heavy plays, but Herbert is capable of turning this into a passing game in a hurry with his healthy WRs and TE Everett. |
Dolphins |

Bears |
Fields has shown improvement the last two games, but he's taking too many sacks. Chicago's defense was ripped apart against Dallas, so Mostert could have a big game here. That will open up passes from Tua to Hill and Waddle. Miami also is 4-1 at Chicago all time. |
Bengals |
over |
Panthers |
Carolina almost came back last week but a boneheaded celebration by Moore and a terrible punting game by Pineiro sealed their fate. While Cincy suffered an upset of their own, they can recover a lot quicker than the Panthers. Look for Burrow to pick apart the Carolina defense and have a bounce-back game at home. |
Packers |

Lions |
Green Bay is in freefall and needs a shot in the arm to boost their chances at a postseason run. They can get that this week in Detroit if they lean on their running game in Jones and Dillon. The Lions will have trouble against Green Bay's pass defense, forcing Goff to hold on to the ball too long. |
Patriots |

Colts |
The Colts tried to get a spark from Ehlinger but they didn't run him enough and throw deep downfield. Taylor getting hurt again and fumbling didn't help. The turnovers still might come here in an ugly game with Jones on the other side. |
Bills |

Jets |
This game could be much better than it has been in years past. Allen wasn't happy about their offense slowing down due to key mistakes last week They'll perform better in the running and downfield passing plays as the Jets' defense could get overwhelmed. The Jets can't go too pass-happy with Wilson and stay balanced if they want a shot at a win. |
Vikings |

Commanders |
The Cousins revenge game will ensure the Vikings stay on a roll. The Commanders cannot cover Jefferson and the other WRs. Minnesota also has found its running game with Cook. Heinicke will have more success throwing it around but catch-up mode won't work this week. |
Jaguars |

Raiders |
The Raiders stayed on the east coast after their brutal pounding in NOLA, so travel fatigue shouldn't be an issue. Unfortunately, they'll be trading being run over by Kamara to being run over by Etienne Jr. Carr and the O-line won't survive another game against this young Jags D-line. |
Seahawks |
over |
Cardinals |
These two division bird teams always play each other hard. The Seahawks have a balanced offense, letting the run set up good pass plays for Geno Smith. The defense has been coming together quickly, including plays from rookie CB Woolen. Seattle has a good chance to sweep the series this week. |
Buccaneers |
over |
Rams |
Hard to pick this one. There's only so many losses Brady can stomach before he turns this thing around, and this is as good an opportunity as he'll get. Both teams were 1-3 last month, with unreliable running and passing games. I think the difference maker will be no Kupp on the Rams side. |
Chiefs |
over |
Titans |
KC off a bye at home is almost unfair. The Titans can stem the bleeding with a solid run game by Henry, but a leaky secondary will give Mahomes what he needs in the passing game. |
Ravens |
over |
Saints |
The shutout that NOLA dished out last week could either be a flash in the pan or a sign of the turnaround this team needs to start playing dominantly. It's too early to tell and I hope I'm wrong but Dalton versus Jackson may not be as great as we think it could be. This will come down to if the Saints defense can contain Jackson. |
11-4 club! Up top!
