Ravens |
over |
Buccaneers |
Tompa Bay is having problems, whether it's the receivers or RBs or the O-line, there’s plenty of blame to go around. The Ravens are the wrong team to face when you’re trying to right the ship. They have a chance, though a lot of things need to start working. |
Jaguars |
over |
Broncos |
London Game, Part III. Both 2-5 teams need to right their ships and for one of these teams this will be the week. Denver is hoping to have Wilson back from his hamstring injury, but Rypien is starting for now. The Jags will run a lot with Etienne Jr. to chew up clock and come up with a low scoring win. |
Falcons |
over |
Panthers |
Let's not pretend that the Panthers found the winning formula in their upset over Tampa. Both teams are looking kind of meh, but Atlanta has a better RB/WR combo in Allgeier and London and Carolina is still CMC-less. Still division games are a wild ride, so we'll see. |
Cowboys |
over |
Bears |
The Bears beat the Patriots, much to our surprise, but playing Dallas will be a big step up for their young offense. The Cowboys will leverage their RBs against a Chicago defense that struggles against the run. With Chicago on a short week and on the road again, this will not bode well. |
Dolphins |
over |
Lions |
This will be Tua's first road game since his concussion. Detroit has the worst defense in the league, so look for Miami to take advantage of that with plays to Hill, Waddle and Mostert. |
Vikings |
over |
Cardinals |
Minnesota is coming off their bye and are comfortably leading their division. While Murray has Hopkins now and will make some plays, the Cousins to Jefferson connection will be well rested and ready to rock in this matchup. Possibly a good shootout. |
Raiders |
over |
Saints |
NOLA is still in injury hell with a massive amount of their star players on both sides of the ball likely still out this week. Add to that their poor coaching that's been plaguing them and I don't see the Saints winning this unless there's a massive collapse from the Raiders. |
Patriots |
over |
Jets |
Hall's injury changes the rhythm of the Jets' offense around Wilson. Carter will need to keep that going against the Pats. New England has a QB issue with Zappe and Jones, and the defense needs to better stop the run. Coin flip on this one. |
Eagles |
over |
Steelers |
Battle of the Pennsylvania teams. Philly coming off their bye and undefeated leaves a tall task for the Steelers to tackle. Taking the better QB in this matchup, but this smells like a trap game, so we'll see. |
Titans |
over |
Texans |
The Titans hope Tannehill can play through his ankle injury or use a run-heavy game plan and Henry smashing it down Houston's throat. The Texans hope to use Pierce to lead the running game and Lovie Smith coaching up decent cover-2 defense. Might be a good division matchup. |
Commanders |
over |
Colts |
The Colts are moving from Ryan to Ehlinger, which I don't think anyone expected. Washington played with confidence on both sides with Heinicke, who had a good contact with McLaurin. This feels like a toss-up. |
49ers |
over |
Rams |
The Rams have a more pass-heavy offense with Stafford coming out of a bye, but Shanahan's team dominated the first matchup defensive and the coach tends to have McVay's number. Look for CMC to have a day in his second game with his new team. |
Giants |
over |
Seahawks |
Jones and Geno Smith have been playing well as QBs everyone passed over. The Giants are rolling with healthy Barkley and the Seahawks are rocking with rookie Walker. This should be a ground game we all will enjoy. New York is coming off a tough road victory so this could be a toss-up. |
Bills |
over |
Packers |
The Bills have the best defense in the NFL (281.5). Look for the Packers to score early in the first half. Rodgers comes out hot, but the Bills make adjustments after halftime, as they do well since they only allow 2.8 PPG. Green Bay could suffer their fourth straight loss this week. |
Bengals |
over |
Browns |
Burrow is 0-3 against the Browns, but that could change this week. Cleveland ranks 31st in completions allowed, so look for Chase and Boyd to have a game. The Bengals steal all of the Browns candy this Halloween. |
Brain fart, apologies.
