NFL Week 12 Predictions Thread (2020 Season)
Post Body

Happy Thanksgiving, r/NFL!Always love this holiday, with the gorging of food and the gorging of football games. Stuff your faces, stay safe, and be thankful we have football given everything that's going on. Last week, I went a terrible 6-8, bringing me to 102-59. How did everyone else do? We have no teams on byes this week. We also have six divisional games, which could influence playoff seeding. We're kicking things off big on Turkey with three big games. Let's get to it!

Winner Loser Comments
Texans over Lions The Lions have lost their last three Thanksgiving games, and they are coming off a horrible performance in a shutout against the Panthers. Houston is on a small winning streak, and Watson hasn’t thrown an INT in five games. Going with the trend.
Cowboys over Washington This could be a stinker, or an epic Turkey Day battle. Dalton was knocked out the last time the Cowboys played Washington, and this game might have NFC East title implications. I think you'll see a lot of Dalton TD passes to Lamb late in the fourth.
Raiders over Falcons The Falcons are 1-4 at home, and Jones' hamstring injury will be something to watch this week. The Raiders are 4-1 on the road. If the Falcons play as bad as last week, expect a similar result.
Bills over Chargers Herbert continues to impress as a rookie, having two 300-yard games in the last three weeks. The Chargers have yet to win a road game, and the Bills had a bye week. The weather should be nice enough, but Allen will take advantage of a weak Chargers' defense.
Giants over Bengals No Burrow is going to hurt this team a lot. The Giants should be able to get after Finley, who took four sacks against Washington last week. Jones leads a low-risk passing attack, and New York wins its third consecutive game.
Titans over Colts This will be a good one. Both teams are coming off emotional OT victories. Tannehill has to make a few more plays in the passing game. The Titans get payback with a late TD run from Henry, as per usual.
Vikings over Panthers Teddy B. returning to Minnesota to play his old team is appealing, but if he can't play then Walker proved that that offense can still function. Cousins has more support, and he has thrown just one INT in his last four games. Cook will keep the running game going.
Cardinals over Patriots The Pats are all but out of the playoff race, and the Cardinals are trying to get back on track after last week's loss. Arizona's D has allowed 28 points or more the last four weeks. Belichick needs to come up with some defensive gold nuggets that test Murray. I think Murray will do what Watson just did the Pats.
Dolphins over Jets Tua took his first L as a starter against Denver, and he took six sacks. The Jets, first to be eliminated from the postseason, do not have the same pass-rushing ability. Tua makes the right adjustments, and the Dolphins get back on track in the AFC playoff hunt.
Browns over Jaguars The Browns' D stepped up with Garrett, and Chubb is doing great in the running game. Cleveland is 4-0 when Chubb rushes for 100 yards, and that streak continues.
Steelers over Ravens COVID delays won't change the outcome. The Ravens have lost three of their last four, and have been limited to 24 points or less. Baltimore will play with a sense of desperation, but they must get to Big Ben, who has averaged 302 passing YPG the last three weeks.
Saints over Broncos I was going to go to this game, but alas, they cancelled fan attendance for the rest of the season. Hill won his first start against the Falcons, but this is an interesting road test with the Broncos winning their last two home games. The Saints have the league's best run D, so Lock will have to force his passes more. That will lead to turnovers, and New Orleans will take advantage.
Rams over 49ers The Rams upset the Pack last week and now host the 49ers. San Fran won the first matchup with three TDs from Jimmy G, but the 49ers have been riddled with injuries since. Goff leads the Rams to victory with another efficient performance.
Chiefs over Buccaneers I think this game will be closer than people realize. Brady is in yet another big game, and this is his fourth meeting against Mahomes. The Chiefs have won five straight, but the defense has allowed 31 points in each of the last two games. Tampa's defense will come up huge in the second half, and Brady will be in place to deliver a vintage GWD in the fourth, but come up short.
Packers over Bears The Packers bounce back after an overtime loss at Indy. The Bears' offensive struggles are well-documented, and Green Bay will recover with another big game from Rodgers. The last five meetings between these teams have been decided by eight points or less, so it may be a close one.
Seahawks over Eagles The Eagles are clinging to a half-game lead in a bad NFC East, and the Seahawks are not the team they want to be facing. Wilson broke out of his funk against Arizona, and Seattle will take advantage of Philly's run D.

Those are my predictions, let's hear yours. Keep it civil and fun. Best of luck!

Update: 12-4, on to Week 13.
