NFL Week 7 Predictions Thread (2020 Season)
Post Body

Happy Wednesday, r/NFL! Hope everyone is doing well. It's looks like this week is back to a normal schedule, with TNF happening and one MNF game. We'll see if this changes throughout the week. I was able to go 9-5 last week bringing me to 60-31. How did everyone else do? We have four more teams on byes, for now. We also have a whopping seven divisional games, so we should see some great matchups from those. Let's get to it!

Winner Loser Comments
Eagles over Giants Wentz didn’t throw an INT for the first time all season in a loss last week, and that improved play continues against the Giants, who have scored 20 points in just one game. Even if Sanders and Ertz are out, it’s still a game that they can win.
Lions over Falcons The Falcons finally won their first game of the season, and Detroit has an opportunity to get back to .500. Both defenses give up more than 28 PPG, so a shootout between the two Matts seems inevitable.
Browns over Bengals It's Baker vs. Burrow, round two. Mayfield is dealing with a rib injury, but if he's healthy he will start against a Bengals' D that couldn't stop the run in the first meeting. Cleveland gets back on track, but the Bengals will make it interesting in the fourth quarter.
Titans over Steelers Semi upset maybe? The 2nd-best offense meets the 2nd-best defense, but the Steelers suffered a major blow losing Bush for the season. Henry, who leads the NFL with 588 rushing yds, will keep the Titans on schedule.
Saints over Panthers This should be a good matchup. Teddy B. faces his former team, and the Panthers will have a challenge against a rested defense that allows 100.2 yards per game. NOLA's offense is back on track, and Brees leads the Saints to their third straight victory. Look for a multi-TD performance from Can't Guard Mike.
Bills over Jets The Jets were shut out by Miami, and the Bills won the first meeting. Buffalo gets back on a Sunday schedule in style behind a big game from Allen, who had 312 passing yds in the first meeting. Not sure when the Jets will catch a break.
Washington over Cowboys Going against the grain on this one. Washington continues to struggle on offense, having an average of just 15.3 PPG. But Dallas' recent performances leave a large amount of doubt in their ability to match up with even a struggling divisional opponent.
Packers over Texans The Packers flopped against the Bucs, and Bakthiari was injured. That's a major concern for protecting Rodgers, but the running game gets back on track with Jones against a Houston defense that allows 177.5 YPG.
Seahawks over Cardinals This all comes down to bad timing for Arizona. The Seahawks are coming off a bye, and the Cardinals are working off a short week. These teams split their meetings last year, and Murray's passing will be the key if they want to keep it close.
Chiefs over Broncos The Chiefs bounced back with a victory over the Bills, and the Broncos were sparked by the return of Lock in an upset against the Pats. Mahomes is 5-0 with a 103.4 passer rating against Denver and I don't see that changing this week.
49ers over Patriots The Pats are in trouble, and they are catching the 49ers at the wrong time. Jimmy G gets enough help in the ground game, and New England questions swirl after a third-straight loss.
Chargers over Jaguars Jacksonville averaged just 15 PPG the past two weeks. The Chargers' defense is bad, but they will get enough stops to support Herbert, who has another big day in the air.
Buccaneers over Raiders This should be a great matchup that I could easily see going the other way. The Bucs bounced back with a big victory over the Pack, and now Brady gets to haunt Gruden again. Tampa's defense comes up with a late stop in a highly entertaining SNF game.
Bears over Rams The past two Bears-Rams matchups have been slugfests, and Goff has struggled in those games with no TDs and five INTs. Chicago has won five games by seven points or fewer, and that streak continues in a road victory.

Byes: Colts, Dolphins, Vikings, Ravens

Those are my predictions, let's hear yours. Keep it civil and fun. Best of luck!

Update: 11-3, pretty good.
