A lot have people have spent a lot of time looking at how bad Nathan Peterman has played so far in his career this week. I wanted to see what his stats would look like if they were projected out into a full year instead of just his playing time so far.
I started by determining how many offensive snaps a team takes in a given year, so I took the last 4 years of averages and averaged them again to get this:
The average team takes 63.94 offensive snaps per game, or 1023.175 per year.
I then pulled Nathan Peterman's career stat line:
Nathan Peterman's Career Stats
Over 144 snaps this is what that looks like.
Then I averaged the values per snap and then projected them out on the 1023.175 figure to get this:
Nathan Peterman's Projected Full Year Stats on 1023.175 Snaps
As expected, the rating stays the same, it's my own calculation which I used to validate my results.
I'd say more but I think the data will speak for itself. Hope you enjoyed this brief stats piece, if you did you can check out some of my other work here:
