I was laughing at some of the "Frank Gore is immortal" jokes that have been floating around lately, and started thinking about other players that are still productive at 35. Could an all "Over 35" team be competitive? Here is the best lineup I could come up with of only players that have reached that age. I had to do a LITTLE shifting around(Brian Robinson is technically a DE, but he played some DT in 2016, so lets pretend he kicks back inside for our purposes). And Mulbach is a LS, but I assume he could pass for center. My options were limited!
Defense:
DT – Kyle Williams - Bills
DT – Brian Robison - Vikings
EDGE – Julius Peppers - Panthers
EDGE – Wake - Dolphins
MLB – Derrick Johnson - Raiders
OLB – Lorenzo Alexander - Bills
OLB – Terrell Suggs - Ravens
CB - Brent Grimes - Buccaneers
CB – Tramon Williams - Packers
S – Mike Adams - Panthers
S – Terence Newman - Vikings
Offense:
QB – Tom Brady - Patriots
RB – Frank Gore - Dolphins
RB – Darren Sproles - Eagles
WR – Larry Fitzgerald - Cardinals
C – Don Mulbach - Lions
G – Jahri Evans - FA
G – Richie Incognito - FA
T – Andrew Whitworth - Rams
T – Jason Peters - Eagles
TE – Antonio Gates - FA
TE – Ben Watson - Saints
K – Adam Vinatieri - Colts
LS – John Denney - Dolphins
Did I snub anyone? How would you fill out the roster? Players that have OFFICIALLY retired are not options.
And I apologize if this has been done before - I tried looking, but didn't see anything.
