Why don't players unhappy with their contract show up but give no effort instead of being fined?
Post Body

If it was myself I would play with full effort until the conclusion of my contract but if a player has the mentality that he isn't getting paid fairly for his production surely he is better off showing up with no effort rather than getting fined for being absent? Alternatively maybe show up and say you have injury so you don't want to practice or play? Would this look worse to future teams than not showing up at all to mandatory training camps?

Comments

It's probably in the contract somewhere that says something about work ethic
