This is the right move. He's not ready, and continually throwing him out there to get reps isn't the right move.
Because playing in game and trying to learn the fundamentals AND learning how to read a defense when he never got the opportunity in college is a great idea
You’re asking him to run the circus when he doesn’t even know what a circus is and expecting him to make it up as he goes
You making the comparison to Josh Allen is hilarious, you cherry pick the one guy who had success from this point and disregard the plenty that have failed
Josh Allen also has a good attitude, Richardson doesn’t give a fuck
This is the most likely situation
You’ve got 52 other men on the roster who just saw their leader not give a single shit so why should they?
Just by the eye test you can tell that the teams energy is completely different when Flacco is on the field
Josh Allen didn’t have an ego and actually cared about his team, AR gave up
Since when do you just keep starting a project that has shown 0 improvement
Calling him a project is quite generous, remind me how many full games he’s played between college and NFL again?
QB prospects are lacking in the next draft so tanking with AR doesn’t land you a good QB….
It’s to sell tickets and merch, when you can’t move the ball fans don’t show up to watch
Yeah, I don’t think he’s even at the level of an NFL project
He’s started 23 games between college and NFL and didn’t finish a handful of those
If you’ve only played 17-18 full games above a high school level in your career you are not an NFL project, you’re a college project.
The play and learn idea is frankly stupid.
His fundamentals aren’t there and you don’t work on fundamentals in game. MLB players don’t learn how to swing a bat in the game. NBA players don’t learn how to shoot in the game. They get the fundamentals down outside of the game.
