Why did Marques Colston never get the recognition he deserved?

This guy has 6 1000 yard season and 72TDs in 10 years. When he was healthy he was a legit 1000 yard 8TD WR. Despite all of this he still never made one Pro Bowl.

Look at the guys playing in his era. Larry Fitzgerald, Reggie Wayne, Wes Welker, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Steve Smith. Wide receiver is usually crowded with guys who deserve recognition.
