During the 2023 season, Travis Kelce surpassed Jerry Rice's record for most receptions by a receiver in the postseason (152) which also tied the record with Jerry Rice for most 100-yard games in the playoffs (8).
As it stands right now, Jerry Rice has a total of (2,245) receiving yards in the postseason, while Travis Kelce has a total of (1,903). Which means Travis Kelce just needs another 343 yards to surpass Jerry Rice's record for all time postseason receiving yards in NFL history.
For perspective, Travis Kelce has only surpassed 343 postseason receiving yards twice in his career : Once during the 2020 season with 360 yards, and another during his most recent bout in 2023 with 355.
If Travis Kelce is able to surpass another Jerry Rice record for most postseason receiving yards in NFL history, how could anybody still put Gronkowski ahead of Travis Kelce in the GOAT argument? I get that there's always going to be the Peak vs Longevity debate, but if Kelce keeps dominating postseason records like he has been for years then at what point does Gronk's peak even matter?
If I'm building an all-time team, and I can't have Gronk, I'll take Travis Kelce. Or Tony G. And I wouldnt be upset about it. Multiple players are allowed to be great at the same time. Gronk's greatness isn't threatening to Kelce's or vice versa.
