I always get my handys in a tent at the county fair
Well one would have to wonder why discretion would even be needed if the service is what it claims.
I mean if your barber or stylist was offering "private, discreet" haircuts - you might question exactly what they're really offering.
And apple wasn't a state-regulated & licensed profession
Well for one, most guys seeking a "discreet" encounter are going to likely have real issues with the documentation necessary to claim it's porn - which includes a signed contract & release, a copy of their ID, and a photograph or video of them holding their ID by their face.
Plus, why would you pay $x for a "service" knowing the provider is going to record it and sell it online, with zero benefit to you?
Sure... You're allowed to work out of your home... As long as conditions are met.
Those conditions are usually the space has to be separate from the living space by a floor to ceiling divider, have its own independent entrance, hot/cold water, etc.
You can't though just set up shop in your spare bedroom and escort your clients through your front door.
Well it's possible due to licensing.
At least in my state once you hold a professional license like an esthetician, you are absolutely not allowed to perform services (for hire) outside of a licensed shop.
The entire point behind state licensing is public health and hygiene standards, and having a place the state can inspect if complaints etc are filed.
If you're working in Bobs kitchen then going straight to Mary's house to work on her - who is guaranteeing proper sanitation practices are being followed, or that you're not tracking bedbugs, lice, or whatever else from one client to the next....
Zoning almost always allows for a barbershop or salon as a home business - but they pretty universally require the business space be fully separated from the living space by a "floor to ceiling partition", and have its own separate entrance not a part of the living area.
It's also not legal in most states to practice esthetic services outside of a licensed shop - due to hygiene.
Nah, they usually charge 15-30-60
The one exception would be if the client is disabled and unable to leave their home, or the salon is not ADA accessible - in which case most, if not all, state boards allow for in-home service.
