Hey So in March we are going to do a trip around the North Island, Starting Welly to Cape Reinga & back down

We have 2 weeks to do it, so wanting to stop off & zig zag our way up & down

I'd love some out of the way places, sightseeing etc to check out.

Even some moderately priced places to stay that aren't on the main track that are cheaper or gems etc

I've explored Welly Whanganui Napier areas a lot, Visit Auckland often for mates, never been north of Whangarei.
Family in Tauranga so explored near there a little.
