Quick question about suspended licenses

Post Body

I currently have a suspended license and am able to go get it back tomorrow, but I lost my birth certificate during a move a few years ago. When I lost my license, the card itself wasn't taken, so I'm just wondering if I can use that as my form of I.D when I go in. The NZTA website says ' your New Zealand driver licence (can be current or expired up to two years) ' is valid I.D, so will they accept my suspended card or will I have to order a new birth cert?
