Hello all, would love to hear what my fellow kiwis opinions are on our legalised sex work industry!

Here’s my opinion - I am an escort in Wellington & my experience has been mostly quite positive. I am a fully independent escort which means I don’t work through an agency or brothel, I do my own advertising, room letting etc. I am quite happy I can provide my services as safely as possible & be my own boss. Thankfully NZ has amazing support like the NZPC and a good supportive SW community.

On the down side I have noticed NZ has quite a high influx of migrant sex workers as well, while I don’t know much about this some of this seems rather quite sketchy.

I won’t name names but unfortunately a lot of the brothels are weirdly still transphobic and/or won’t hire girls based on appearance ie race, tattoos, body size etc. (if you look at the brothels escorts selection you’ll see a trend) even though there is a market.. This is really disappointing, but understandable as the brothel owners tend to be older with their own prejudices. I’m not too sure how the scene is for men..

Also since SW is a luxury good with the recession enquiries have been a bit slow, but here’s hoping the economy will be booming sometime soon.
