Thinking about how Woolworths and Foodstuffs keep on raising their prices, despite farmers barely doing it, and filling their pockets, I was wondering if there's a way to cut the middle man as much as possible and go directly to the source. I've bought home kill way cheaper and higher quality from local farmers but of course it's not legal due to health and safety.

I might be wrong but local butchers are known more for high quality meat, which tends to be more expensive than in supper markets.
Is there any way to legally buy regular meat for everyday meals that it's cheaper than buying at big supermarkets but pays better to the farmers?
