New to archery and soon to be hunting

Hi, I'm new to the archery 🏹 scene I bought a bow about a year and half ago. primarily just shooting targets in my backyard. Til I took my bow hunter safety course last year. I shoot an elite ritual 35. What is everyone's experience level with hunting as I am completely new and have not hunted before. I'm in Monroe County which I believe is region 8 on the Dec map.
