So I was banned today at 10:20 a.m. EST. I was playing with a friend and we jumped over a "dead tree" that was laying on the floor, but was invisible? it was happening on and off today so we didnt mind it to much. Well this one so happened to be like NOPE! So we disconnected and he logged back in just fine, but I was given a ban and was told it was for violating the rules of conduct. I call BS. First and only thing I can find on google is some streamer chick milking a cow and getting the same ban. I was like WTF!? I know its BETA but c'mon, 24 hour ban? So anyway fast forward an hour and I call the first time. I call the general help department and the guy tried for 10 minutes to get me in touch with the gaming department to no avail. So he gives me their email and I shoot them an email saying like "hey unban me, I want more info and I want to know more about why I was banned in the first place." Anyway so fast forward another 2 hours after my nap and I get an email saying "hey give us a call back we wanna try to fix it." So I call the number and Ill just start by saying it did not end well... So he asks for my info, La di dah, I tell him I want more information about why I was banned and how to avoid it in the future and can I get my ban fast tracked? basically it was a no to all of them.... So I do what every grown adult does and start picking apart his words and accusing his department of bad a system in place for these "BANS". And I felt even worse when he told me that I was right... So their ban system is literally just a single room of a few people who are issuing the bans and appealing them... They determine who gets banned and for how long. They also determine who is appealed, but since there has been a huge influx of bans... GEE I WONDER WHY... they are overwhelmed with the amount of appeals that are coming in. So if you are banned 24 hours more likely than not you will be unbanned my timer before you hear back from an appeal. He also let me in on a little secret and I laughed cause I straight told him I was writing this all down on a post to reddit, anyway, secret is wording. It is HOW you speak to people. It is not exactly what you say, but how you say it to them. So the system definitely does try to make sure that people who are being derogatory towards others get banned, not necessarily just curse words. Anyway I hope this helps the next person who comes here, angry cause they got banned, just know you will definitely be waiting. Or you can do what was mentioned to me and just refund the game and buy it again, circumventing the whole issue. LMFAYO!
