mic set up for two person show

Post Body
We have a two person audio based show where we talk about stuff, and on occasion we bring on a guest (virtually) and talk to them as well.
The challenge I'm having is we talk to each other, we turn our heads, we talk to the camera, so only on occasion is mic placement 'right'.
My set up requires XLR mics (due to soundboard/editing) so a boom mic isn't going to do it.
Any ideas?
