I grew up in a military family and have always dreamt of joining the Navy. I’m currently getting my PhD in Pharmacology focusing on neural regeneration. I have about 6 years of research/private lab experience in various fields. I would love to be able to apply my skills in the Navy. I have spoken to recruiters before who didn’t really know where I would exactly fit in, however they were enlisted recruiters who weren’t familiar with the medical/science professions.
Would anyone with a similar background or any knowledge about it be able to point me in the right direction of any jobs that may fit my background and skills? I’m just pretty ignorant about it all, even after trying to do my own reading and would like to just learn more.
TL;DR - getting my PhD in Pharmacology. Interested in officer positions that fit my educational background.
