I've been trying to enlist in the Navy but have come across a problem. I'm a father to a 4 year old girl. I only have visitation rights so the Navy will let me enlist as long as I bring a copy of her social security and a copy of her birth certificate. The issue with that is, I'm not listed as the father on the birth certificate so I can't get a copy of the social security or birth certificate. I went through court three years ago and established paternity through a DNA test but the court never changed the father's name on her birth certificate. I tried contacting the mother but she doesn't answer my phone calls and hasn't let me see my daughter in five months. We are going to court and the court wanted us to enroll in the safe program which I did but the mom hasn't enrolled and probably won't for another month or so. There isn't anything that comes to my mind to help this situation and I was wondering if there are any single father's out there that could give me some advice on how to enroll into the Navy and add my daughter so she can receive the benefits I receive as well
