Getting a degree active duty
Post Body

Read a few threads on here and from what I understand: 1. I have to wait 3 years to use TA 2. Getting a degree is best if done on shore duty 3. It’s best to go to college after my contract is over.

I understand all of that. My job is HM, so I’m likely to get shore duty. I land in Chicago for boot camp in 2 hours. I’m typing this while on the plane lol. I know about the NCP. I plan on pursuing some kind of accredited online IT degree. This community was made for newbies, so spare me. What is the best route for me to getting an associates? How should I go about explaining this to my commander when that time comes?
