Thinking about joining the Navy, leaning towards becoming a Quartermaster. I'm a 21 year old high school graduate with no college degree, and I wanna hear some more detailed perspectives from former/current QMs that go beyond the few paragraphs on the Navy's website and the couple videos on YouTube.
Do I need a college degree or any additional schooling? What's the pay? How long are the average working hours? What are the normal day to day tasks? What's the hardest part of the job? What skills do I absolutely need? What skills would help? What are the opportunities for advancment? Any memorable moments? Would you recommend it?
Any questions you guys could answer, or advice or tips you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
