Learner's Permit and tickets in NJ

Post Body

Hey everyone,

So my girlfriend's daughters boyfriend has a learner's Permit, he's 17, and I was helping him learn how to drive.

So we have been talking about this for a while And he brought up that a while ago he got pulled over and lost his permit for 6 months because he got a speeding ticket. But the ticket went to the mother, and not him.

But when we ask more infor he has no clue on anything about it. We're not sure since he doesn't have his driver's license yet if this would impact him getting his license, or insurance.

I've done quite a bit of reading and I haven found anything that involves a learner's permit. Just your probationary license.

What makes this confusing is that his mother is uncooperative about it, an is playing dumb. I'm assuming if you loose your permit for 6 months that is serious, but how can only his mother get a ticket?
