I know rent is kind of expensive all over the USA right now, but wow.

My friend and I are looking for an apartment and the rent everywhere is so expensive, it’s making this search so hard. I look in other states and I think “yeah, it’s expensive, but I can live there” meanwhile I look for apartments here and think about how we’re going to afford an apartment together. We each have decided to work 2 jobs (we both work one right now and are looking for a 2nd one) but it feels so impossible to live here. We’ve grown up here all of our lives, but I’m looking at moving out of state just because the rent here is stupid high.

That’s my vent. NJ is a great place to live, but only if you have money it seems.
