I went to Martells Tiki bar and stepped off boardwalk for a smoke. I walked halfway to Ocean Ave, about mid block and lit up. 2 officers then told me I couldn't smoke there and that I had to be cited. There was a flashing sign behind me that read no smoking on boardwalk to street end, but you wouldn't see it unless you turned around. The street i entered the boardwalk which i read only flashed no smoking on boardwalk. There was I tiny sign sitting on traffic cone near end of the block which just said no smoking. Less than 4' high. I thought a regulatory sign needed to be 7' minimum height, like a no parking sign. I photographed and video taped both streets and may fight it. I wasn't the only one. Opinions maybe?
