My 6 weeks old used to sleep in a swaddle but we noticed sheād wake up in the middle of the night trying to set herself free and literally fighting the swaddle, then my mother in law came and she took the night shift deciding not to swaddle her, also she preferred to sleep her in the rock and play rather than the bassinet through the night and we did notice she would sleep better and longer although now Iām thinking it was just a coincidence that my MIL came right when our baby was developing a new sleeping schedule due to a grow spurt. It could be, or it could just be that she actually hates to be swaddled and it will wake her up, although Iāve read that the opposite is supposed to happen (baby sleeping deeper in swaddle because she wonāt be bothered by the āMoro reflectionā).
Now that my MIL is leaving and Iāll take the night shift again, I donāt know if I should go back to our swaddling routine or should I keep just doing what she was doing?
