I constantly have the problem of people believing I am thinking a certain way about a subject (negatively most of the time) even though I didn't say anything that could have make them think that.
I just arrived at a party (took me some energy for sure) and a guy there though I was not LGBT friendly for some reason (though I'm lesbian myself..., he didn't know). I think it's because I said that two girls where kissing in public in the train on my way there and that was PDA (without even mentioning if I dislike PDA).
And it happened to me many times that in a conversation (even with close relatives) they somewho say "Anyway, you don't even believe ... is ..." or "You are against ..." when it is absolutely not true. I can't even guess what in my behavior could have lead them to this conclusion? NT constantly seem to infer things (that aren't true) from my behavior or what I say.
How should I avoid this type of situations?
Sorry for this rant but it really gets me out of my mind and I had to find a place with people that would understand to let it out.
I would be super happy to read some of your experiences about this particular feeling.
