How to make my autistic/ADHD kid studying?
Post Body

He is 7 years old. It's very hard to bring him to school or make some homework (with math especially). Even something super easy is making him suffering and he loses focus very quickly. He is behaving as if studying it's total disaster. I don't understand how to make it easier. He is going to normal school for now . Teachers are very careful and supportive for him but he is still missing many things. I understand it's going to be harder and harder if he misses lots of things. I want to help him to catch up and I'm trying to explain some stuff at home and practice more. 1) I'm thinking maybe he hates when someone pushes him to do something and he hates obligations. But I don't understand how to make it easier because school is kinda obligation 🥴 2) I suppose it's super hard for him to sit still and do things he doesn't really like 3) I found it's much easier to make him to do something if we are not at home. So for example if he is in transport or we are in cafe. But at the same time he rejects to go anywhere exactly for studying 🤦 4) routine and timer doesn't work if it's about studying. But maybe I have to try it again and again? 5) Maybe he sees me as parent but not teacher. He is doing some work in school if teacher sits right next to him. 6) it seems like he is sensitive to mistakes that's why is is struggling to do anything. He is saying that he won't learn math ever so he wants to stop study it. How to make him being less scared? 7) he is definitely not a fighting person by itself because he easily follows our requests (like going somewhere boring like a city office or clinic, or going to bed on right time or helping with housekeeping). So something is wrong with the studying process.

Maybe someone can advice me methods, articles, books, etc Probably I can find some useful information for myself too because I'm the same

Everyone’s different. For me it takes like 10-15 minutes to get in to it. After that my brain just “clicks” and I start to find my groove and hyper focus. But it takes a while to force myself and it’s hard to push through that
