Tiny Food: I'm gob smacked! It works!
Post Body

So awhile back I was watching Shera and the princesses of power... and one of the characters, Entrapta, is deliberately portrayed as, ahh, neurospicy.

Well, she's just my type of gal... literally.

I'm married to one.

My wife is super smart, super neurospicy and prone to hyperfocus so the world can turn upside down and she'll just focus on what she is doing and not even notice.

And of course, I match my wife very well.

Anyhoo, back to this Entrapta character. One of her quirks is she insists on only eating tiny food.

When I watched this, I pretty much ignored it.

And then I made myself peanut butter on toast.

And got focused... and gulp it had gone.

Didn't even taste the darn thing. Didn't notice myself eating it. All those fattening calories and no enjoyment. Just disappointment my plate was empty.

So the next one I cut into four.....

And went back to work.... gulp. One piece gone... didn't notice. Hmm. Want more toast... Oh Joy! I have three more pieces!

And there you have the trick. Instead of gulp gone, sadness.

It was gulp, get focused on whatever I'm doing, want more, Oh Joy, there is more... repeat N times.

Now I have learnt. When eating while focusing... I make my food as tiny as possible and repeatedly give myself the surprised "Oh Joy, there's more!" feeling.

Well butter my bread, that's one small victory for tiny food everywhere!
