Tried this earlier this week.
All of us NDs have problems communicating. Big part of what marks us.
I figure that a bunch here have found partial solutions either in the form of vids or books.
I have found out that my face and body aren't saying the same things my mouth is.
I have found out that other people have non-verbal channels of communication There are things I don't know that everyone else things I should know.
So not only do I not know, I don't know what it is that I don't know. How do I find out?
- How do I inventory my deficiencies?
Really. If I have vision problems, my opthamologists can figure out and tell me that I have glaucoma, and am nearsighted, and have a bit of astigmatism. My audiologist can tell me that in my left ear, I'm about 70% deaf from 600Hz to 3500Hz. Why can't someone tell me what is wrong with my communication?
How do I find out what I'm saying that I don't know I'm saying.
How much of this can be learned at this late date, and how much just has to be accepted.
How do I compensate for missed data. E.g. if I am aware that I missed something, what are acceptable ways to check without digging myself in deeper and being "more weird"
What are good resources to repair these lacks?
