Dear Neuro,
I entered neuroscience from the computational side, so I know a lot about neural networks, cellular neuroscience, systems neuroscience and alike. But I get totally lost whenever genes, pathways, expression regulation etc. are mentioned. My gut reaction to words "PCR" and "CREB" is to panic, hyperventilate, and hide under the table. Which gets more and more shameful every year.
Could you please recommend me some best textbooks on molecular neuroscience? Or maybe also molecular and genetic methods. If I were to educate myself, where would I start? What to read first, what to read next?
I would be especially grateful for a book that would give me some broad simple overview first. Something not to get lost in the details immediately.
Thank you!!
