Post Body

Hello everyone, hoping you are able to give me some ideas

Im doing a school campus network project that has the following requirement and limitations

requirement

- layer 2 and 3 redundancy

- some way to stop layer 2 loops

- 4 buildings with VLANS which are consistent

- OSPF

limitations

- 5 cisco 2960 switches

- 3 cisco 4321 routers

- 2 layer 3 switches but only able to use a MAX of 9 ports between the 2 ex. 5/4, 2/7 etc

my main thing is the topology, I have been going back and fourth making new topology's to try and make it work.

here is my current topology, the top two routers are going to be in VRRP but since the distribution switches are the spanning tree primary and secondary im having some issues. Would having the switch there work? would it know which port to send traffic back down to reach the pc's? that is an issue i was having when configuring. it would go up to the VAN EDGE using CORE1 but would return to the PC using CORE 2

recommendations to new topology and anything else welcome as well
