What is Layer 2+? Specifically on Dell N2024 switches.

I have a client site that needs to two Powerconnect 6224 switches, and they insist on staying with Dell. I'm not a fan of Dell, and don't sell them regularly, so I'm not sure if I should go with the N3024 (L3), or the N2024 (L2 ). They have a handful of VLANs that the 6224s are doing some routing for, but nothing to complicated beyond that. Will the N2024 fit the bill, or do I need to quote up? Thanks!
