RIPE recommendations for Route Damp(en)ing

It appears route dampening recommendations have changed a lot with the most recent one being ripe-580. Configuring a maximum suppression threshold of 50,000 and a suppress threshold of 6000 is what's currently advised. The prior recommendation (ripe-378) was to disable (or not enable) route dampening at all because it potentially cause more harm than good.
Is route dampening enabled in your organization. If so, what values have you settled on?
