IGMPv3: purpose of different servers using the same multicast address to send different data

Post Body
I understand that IGMPv3 allow two servers to use the dance multicast address to send data to subscribers/receivers. I understand this is accomplished by allowing the receiver to specify a physical source address when requesting to join a multicast group. My question is why would someone design a topology that way. Wouldn't it be better to just use a different multicast address for different data.
I read that it could lead to reduced bandwidth by using a single multicast to send different data. I can't visualize how the bandwidth demand would be any different.
