I managed to score a scroll of genocide and a scroll of scare monster in an early bookshop, then later, confused myself by accident. Well, no problem, it's a fine time to reverse genocide me up some electric eels, since shockproofing is such a late game hassle, so fighting sea monsters on dry land is usually a piece of cake, especially from a scare monster spot.

Touché, Nethack. But when did this behavior start? Never have I mispronounced myself to death, and I checked the wiki, no mention of this possibility. Is it new to 3.6.6?

Edit: Derp. Looks like it's only cursed scrolls that reverse genocide. Confusion SoG must've been an instadeath for a while -- my cause of death is now "genocidal confusion."
