This ascension was done on the mobile port, but I also play the pc version. I've started playing almost 2 years ago, and I really wasn't expecting to ascend this soon. However, this ascension was definitely my luckiest run ever.

For starters I found a magic lamp before I even found the mines. An early atar let me find that it was blessed so I just got a GDSM right away. Dipped for excalibur and went to the mines.

In minetown bought a bag of holding and a saddle I never used. Got the amulet on sokoban and the quest was uneventful. On the castle I got the rest of my ascension kit and the throne gave me a genocide, so I went for cockatrices. I know their corpses are really useful but I just get really paranoid when I see them and don't like to risk. I also blessed scroll-genocided L because screw those guys.

Went on my way through Gehennom and luckilly no one decide to call Demogorgon for the party, because screw that guy. I've managed to get to this point on the game 3 times before, and out of those 3 times, he's responsible for two of those deaths. The other death was a kraken-related incident on the entrance to the wizards tower but this time I got greased up and also had an amulet of magic breathing just in case.

Killed vlad with a bugle and went for the amulet. The priest of moloch was surprisingly easy, and with the amulet in my hands, I started going up, and only then I realized why people hate mindflayers. I also realized why people hate the mysterious force.

When I got to the elemental planes, I realized I never even had found a single scroll of gold detection on the entire game, so instead I used the orb of fate's crystal ball ability to detect traps, wich worked perfectly, but I'll still remember to pack some scrolls for next time.

I also didn't had a ring of conflict, but the astral plane was surprisingly easy, although I suspect this was just luck on my part, as for some reason, famine (who guarded the first altar I tried) simply walked away from me and let me in. And just to top it off, the first altar was the right one, and that was the end of my adventure.

Overall I was really surprised with this ascension. If you're someone having difficulty with beating the game, just keep on trying, you'll get closer to your goal with every game play.

Now I wanna try playing something other than a valkyrie, maybe a samurai or a knight. Maybe I'll even try playing a wizard since I haven't given spellcasting a serious chance yet. I'll definitely die a lot, that's for sure.
