4k laptop HDR and 4k meaning

So I have the dell XPS 9370 4k laptop, when I open the Netflix app in the Microsoft store and edge browser it shows either HDR or ultra UHD. My question is whether or not seeing the HDR symbol means that it’s also 4k too. I read on a few forums stating that , I just wanna conformation from anyone who knows about this . My plan is to hook up an external 4k hdr 10 compatible monitor next week so I wanna take advantage
