Need some help with the order and milk

Hi All, so I've had my Vertuo machine for around 2 years maybe more, then the other week I see an email from Nespresso about recipes and now I'm thinking I really haven't been making anything in the right way.
We typically drink:
- Melzio
- Costa Rica
- Ethiopia
- Stormio
But always dabble with some espresso's too. Recently I bought a milk frother, which has a cold setting, hot milk, and dense froth.
My questions are:
- If we add sugar do you add it before after, or in between?
- Same with milk, and how do you know if its dense froth or hot milk?
- If you have a vertuo machine I would be interested to know your favorite capsules and how you make yours.
On a side note... I do blame this sub-reddit for putting the idea in my head of having a dedicated coffee station in my kitchen :-D
