My Nespresso Vutro Next freaked out after descaling process.

I’m not sure what happened. But the light was blinking indicating it needed to descale. So I bought the descaling packets from nespresso. Ran the cycle and the rinse cycle, but now it won’t run. I’ve tried everything and I even called the hot line. They said it’s a problem with the button and bc it’s out of warranty, I can get a 30% discount on a new machine (wtf?) or spend $65 to send it in and wait three weeks. This item was a gift to me, but should I not be using Nespresso Next? They seem to crap out on a lot of people.
