Hi,

My name is Sarnaa (pronounced Sar-nay). I am the founder and CEO of Overpowered. I’m the one responsible for the delay in your pre-order.

And I am also the one that apologizes to you right now and want to make sure I tell you what has happened and what I’m doing about it.

Neopets came up in a conversation at the beginning of 2017. We reached out to Jumpstart and presented a proposal and over months and months of back and forth we finally struck a deal to produce merch for Neofans at the end of 2017.

The only thing we knew how to make at the time were enamel pins so that’s what we asked for. And because we were young, new, virtually untested, we sought only permission to do a limited type of product and limited Neopets.

We took our time to get the details right. We wanted the notch on Kacheek’s head to be present on the keychains and the pins. We wanted to make a product we could be proud of. But more than that we wanted to make a product you would be proud of.

When we launched the line in March 2018 these products were a hit. So I worked and worked and worked and finally convinced Jumpstart to allow us to do all of the Neopets.

But there was a catch…

We didn’t have the money to produce the product first like we normally would. So I had the brilliant idea of doing pre-sales. My partners warned me of the risks of doing a pre-sale. The biggest, of course, was that we might not sell enough to produce and ship to customers.

Their concerns became a reality. So I dug in deeper and put out more to try and cover the cost of the last, thinking we could do this until we could develop a higher selling product.

That was stupid and speculative.

We didn’t get to that higher selling product fast enough. Through a small loan were able to pump out the first three pre-sale items (the first baby pins) and grew terribly behind schedule.

I’m sorry about that.

The decision was mine and the poor handling was all mine as well.

I am personally taking on another full-time job so that I can pay for the production. You have been patient for very long. And I really appreciate that.

If you can bear with me a little while longer I will get your products to you. Production time to shipping is approximately 6 weeks from start to finish.

Soon I hope to be able to send you an email letting you know that we have put the first batch into production. I promise to keep you updated along the process and let you know what the current status is.

I have grown to know and love the Neopets community. I understand why and how it’s been around for so long...because it’s built on a good foundation. It’s about collaboration, community, sharing, self-expression, and so much more.

It’s built on love.

No one wants to get these pins and keychains to you more than me, perhaps even more than you want them. It’s personal for me as well, because the business I built and love is hanging in the balance. And because I believe that Neopets can have a resurgence.

I am more committed to Neopets than you know and have been working behind the scenes with some very talented people to help bring some exciting things to life. Jumpstart has been very generous to let me have a go at some interesting developments.

But I am sorry for the delay. I take full responsibility.

I am doing everything I can to make it right. I’m just asking for your patience a little while longer and I assure you when we get over this there are even greater things to come.
