From this thread by QuestionBasedAccount. He asks for an English equivalent of a word in modern Hebrew, but commenter Deuteronomy points out that the Hebrew word in question descends (via Yiddish) from the German vergönnen.
At any rate, the concept is a good one: not to resent someone else's success but to be happy for it. I think it could use an actual word in English.
