I live in Washington state and my next-door neighbor is experiencing some sort of psychological break. She is delusional and manic, she admitted so herself that she is manic. I have been calling the police and the crisis line to try to get her help for two weeks now. The apartment manager won't do anything but she is getting increasingly aggressive towards my partner and me. She accused us of stealing from her apartment, she accused us of canvassing the apartment, she thinks everyone in the complex works for the cartel, and last week was begging for a catholic priest to give her an exorcism because she was possessed by a demon. She chain-smokes inside and our apartment reaks of smoke, I was worried about her starting a fire from leaving a cig unattended or from the ash. Her daughter lives in California and will not come up here to help get her mom to a facility or into a home. There is nothing more that I can do to try to help her. Today, she left a pot of oil boiling on her stove, she went across the street to smoke and her fire alarms went off. I had to go get her because she didn't hear it and forgot about the boiling oil. If she had left there would have been a fire! She blamed it on being an airhead. What do I do? please give me advice. I don't know what else to do or who else to contact. I am very concerned for her but I don't know what else to do and this is starting to impact the safety of everyone living in this building. Please help.
