So whenever I turn on my AC unit my room is instantly less… enjoyable. My breathing is labored sometimes, I notice my heart beat faster / harder, and the air itself feels of poor quality.

I’ve deep cleaned it heavily, and I’m at my wits end. Obviously it’s summer and it gets hot, so I try to keep it on but it’s just unbearable.

When I turn it off, bam. All fine. I DO have 5 cats. None of the other AC units in our windows have this problem.

I’m gonna keep mine off and see if I can handle the heat. I’d rather be hot than my lungs struggling to function

Edit: if anyone could tell me if there’s anything I’m not seeing or if this is something I should ignore and just use the AC as I have been. Any additional advice is welcome
