Right now, I'm looking at some financial trouble, and it's my own fault, but I'm not looking to place blame, I'm looking to try and find a way out of this situation.
Currently, I'm just driving for Uber, and it's not enough to cover all of my bills (obviously), and I've been trying to get my employed again, and I'm pretty sure I need to start at an entry level position again just to get off the ground, but here's the situation, and honestly, I'm looking for any advice that I've been blind to in this situation.
Let's just put this up front, I've been unemployed for almost eight months, and working the gig economy has not been helping. I have a BA in art with minors in math and IS, and my first question here would be what entry level position could I apply for that don't require a lot of specified skill set. I've also been a consultant for the past eight years in Oracle based systems, and I've not been able to expand my skill set in that field to make myself marketable.
With tax season currently here, I've been seeing an increase in my expenses just because owning a house hasn't been helping the situation; however, I have two rooms that I could rent out that would have to share a room, and I need to put those up for rent as well, as that would be some income.
To compound the issue for me, I'm also suffering from OCD, and so that is something I also need to get over and move on from because I can't afford to be picky anymore.
I'm now feeling a little more depressed than I was, so I'm going to stop there and try to share as much as I can, but I'm just looking for the bold, honest answers that can help me move on from this situation.
In advance, thank you for taking the time to read and review this, and let me know if there are any questions as I'll be watching this and trying to look at entry level jobs and get employed again. Thanks everyone!
